Satyajit Ray was born on 2 May 1921 and he died on 23 April 1992. He was an Indian film director, scriptwriter, documentary filmmaker, author, essayist, lyricist, magazine editor, illustrator, calligrapher, and music composer. He is celebrated for works such as “ The Apu Trilogy “,” Music Room “,” The big city “ and “ Charu Lata” . . Ray directed 36 films, including” Pather Panchali. He won eleven international awards. He was also awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1992.
